What Is GF50 PA6 Material?

Introduction: LFT PA6-LGF50 Pellet

50% Long-fiber nylon 6 material is a high-performance engineering plastic formed by compounding long fibers (typically glass fibers, carbon fibers or aramid fibers) with a nylon resin matrix. Compared with short-fiber reinforced nylon, long fibers (typically ranging in length from 5-25 mm) retain a more complete structure in the matrix, significantly enhancing the material's mechanical properties, heat resistance and fatigue resistance. Long fibers form a network support structure in the nylon matrix, and their tensile strength, flexural modulus and impact toughness are significantly higher than those of short-fiber-reinforced nylon.

High strength, high rigidity: Long glass fibers form a three-dimensional network structure in the nylon 6 matrices, significantly enhancing the load-bearing capacity.
High impact resistance: Long fibers can effectively prevent crack propagation and have high notched impact strength

Fatigue resistance: Under cyclic stress (such as gears and moving parts), the fatigue life of long-fiber nylon 6 is longer than that of short-fiber materials.
Creep resistance: Under a fixed load, the creep deformation after 1000 hours is low.

Excellent dimensional stability: Not prone to deformation, suitable for precision structural components.

High-temperature resistance: The HDT (1.82MPa) of long glass fiber PA6 is significantly higher than that of pure PA6. It can work for a long time in a fixed temperature environment.

Chemical resistance: Stable to engine oil, fuel, and weak acids and alkalis (but still eroded by strong acids/strong alkalis).
