Long Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyamide 12 differs from glass fiber reinforced thermoplastics in that PA12-LCF does not have "fatigue" properties, i.e. it does not accumulate microcracks in the load area of the molded part. Even if the end-to-end (pass) damage of the carbon fiber reinforced parts does not cause an increase in cracks, these cracks "fade" due to the presence of carbon fibers. Long carbon fiber reinforced PA12 has greater corrosion resistance and better physical properties than glass fiber reinforced plastics. And because of its excellent mechanical properties, it is an ideal substitute for metal.
