LFT-G® LGF50-PP (50% Long Glass Fiber Polypropylene)

LFT-G® LGF50-PP (50% Long Glass Fiber Polypropylene)

Details
LFT-G® LGF50-PP is an advanced thermoplastic composite engineered for extreme durability. During the injection molding process, the 50% long glass fibers intertwine to create an internal 3D skeletal network. This unique architecture provides superior stiffness, impact resistance, dimensional stability, and low creep compared to short glass fiber (SGF). Serving as a highly reliable, lightweight, cost-effective alternative to metals in demanding structural applications, it significantly reduces weight while maintaining uncompromising mechanical strength.

The Ultimate Lightweight Structural Composite

When automotive and industrial engineers need to replace heavy die-cast metals without escalating production costs, LFT-G® LGF50-PP is the industry standard solution. Unlike conventional short-fiber polypropylene that suffers from severe creep under load, our 50% long glass fiber compound establishes a permanent 3D structural matrix. This delivers an exceptional 10,800 MPa flexural modulus while massively reducing part weight. Supported by our direct factory capabilities, we offer rapid global delivery, custom color matching, and free technical material analysis to guarantee a seamless transition for your manufacturing lines.

Why PP LGF50 And Not PP GF50?

long fiber pp lgf50 VS Short fiber pp gf50

What is PP LGF50?

The PP LGF50 material has become increasingly popular in the industry, especially for parts that require high durability and strength. LFT-G® PP LGF50 stands for the Polypropylene composite with Long Glass Fiber 50%. This means that the material is made up of 50% long glass fiber and 50% polypropylene, its length is 10-12mm. The long glass fibers are what give the material its strength and durability, while the polypropylene provides flexibility and resistance to heat and chemicals. And PP GF50 is mean that Polypropylene filled 50%short glass fiber reinforced Polypropylene composite,it's length is only less than 3mm.

Why long Fiber LFT PP have higher performance that PP GF?

During the cavity filling process, the molten PP is more fluid than the glass fibers, the temperature of the end far from the gate and the end of the mold is lower, the PP cools rapidly, but the glass fibers are coalesced by the constantly renewed melt and the content is increased. In addition, the glass fiber far from the gate undergoes more folding due to the growth of the process and the retention length decreases, and the glass fiber length is significantly impaired at the end near the gate due to the long holding time. The middle part has the longest glass fiber holding length, and this part of the glass fiber is highly oriented and has the strongest tensile strength under the action of the high speed flow of the melt. The longer, isotropic glass fibers are able to form a certain fiber skeleton in the PP polypropylene matrix to absorb the shear stresses from the outside, thus improving the mechanical properties of the LFT PP LGF material stress.

In addition, due to the development of polypropylene long fiber LFT modification technology in recent years, polypropylene has an absolute advantage in the development of the automotive industry.

Xiamen LFT-G® adopts LFT-Granules cutting process to prepare high melt flow rate PP injection molding pump special material, the product flexural modulus of 1600MPa or more, to meet the customer's design specifications and processing requirements, and has been produced on a large scale.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Why upgrade from Short Glass Fiber (SGF) PP to LGF50-PP?

A: SGF fails to provide sufficient structural integrity for heavy-load applications. LGF50-PP creates an internal 3D intertwining fiber network, drastically boosting stiffness, impact strength, and low creep performance while preventing dimensional warpage.

Q2: Do you support custom material formulations and color matching?

A: Yes. As a direct manufacturer, LFT-G® offers highly flexible customization. We provide exact color matching services and can adjust the polymer matrix to meet specific UV resistance or flammability requirements for your project.

Q3: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for a technical trial?

A: We fully support engineers during the prototyping phase. Our MOQ for physical trial samples is simply one standard bag (25KG), accompanied by free technical analysis and processing guidance from our experts.
