The release includes a new GUI with pressure container optimization and Ansys' enhanced workflow.

MultiMechanics, the developer of multi-scale material modeling and simulation software, announced the release of MultiMech 18.1. The new features added by MultiMech 18.1 will provide better ease of use, faster speeds and more simulation features, including:


A new GUI designed to organize workspaces and make composite simulations more intuitive.

Tube and pressure vessel optimization capabilities enable engineers to design composite tubes and pressure vessels to predict and mitigate manufacturing-induced changes.

The main Ansys extension workflow improvements enable Ansys Workbench users to automatically generate microstructures and enhance their structural simulations.

Abaqus extends workflow improvements to enable Abaqus users to easily perform non-homogeneous Abaqus / Explicit simulations.

Multi-scale and multi-physics problems can be solved by temperature multi-scale analysis, including curing and processing of composite materials.

Automate time step refinement/roughening for a better user experience.

Extend our material model library by simulating a fully anisotropic thermal viscoelastic material model.

Increase speed and enable engineers to solve complex material challenges more quickly and accurately.
