Hexcel Corporation (Stanford, Conn.) and Groupe Gazechim Composites (Béziers, France) are the official agents of Hexcel, with more than 20 years of experience, and announced an agreement on July 17 for aerospace and defense customers. The advanced composite materials sold offer customized complementary services for high performance industrial applications.
The joint venture, HexCut Services, will offer pan-European complementary services, including Hexcel's carbon fiber prepregs and other composite materials such as adhesives and fabrics for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.
Gazechim's acquisition of Maulévrier's existing ancillary facility, located 75 km east of Nantes (France), will be the initial centre for the provision of pre-cut kits for customers and future central services to the European network of local facilities.
