It is reported that the CCF700S carbon fiber provided by Guangwei Composite Materials has been successfully verified on the XX model solid rocket motor casing of China.
The successful verification marks that China has broken through the technical bottleneck of domestic dry-jet wet spinning process carbon fiber in aerospace applications such as key weapon models, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign high-performance carbon fiber enterprises in the Chinese market, and realizing the dry-jet wet spinning process. The localization of carbon fiber has played an important supporting role in the development and mass production of a new generation of key rocket engines in the aerospace field.
According to reports, the rocket engine casing was designed and manufactured by the Aerospace Science and Technology Institute. In the development of this type of rocket, in order to achieve the goal of rocket lightweighting and high performance, while meeting the stringent requirements of the engine specific blasting pressure, Carbon fiber new materials with unique advantages such as light weight, excellent mechanical properties and high thermal stability have become a must.
Since 2017, Weihai Expanded Fiber Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangwei Composite Materials Co., Ltd., has supplied a number of CCF700S-12K carbon fibers to China Aerospace Science and Technology Fourth Institute 8603 Plant, and cooperated with the development of XX model solid rocket motor filament wound casing. .
The CCF700S-12K carbon fiber was subjected to the first large-scale assessment after the performance test of the previous sample and the verification of the engine casing, and the hydraulic blasting test of the filament wound casing was carried out. After the test was confirmed by the Aerospace Science and Technology Fourth Institute and the Aerospace Science and Technology Fourth Hospital 8603, the fiber strength value, strength performance rate, and shell water pressure burst pressure fully met the technical requirements.
In the aerospace industry, high-performance carbon fiber composites can be used as structural, functional or structural/functional integrated component materials, playing an irreplaceable role in launch vehicles, missiles and satellite vehicles. At the same time, high-performance carbon fiber, as a strategic material for the development of national defense military, has been monopolized by developed countries.
