What is PP LGF?
LGF PP refers to modified polypropylene composites containing long glass fibers with a length of 10 to 25 mm, which are injection molded to form a three-dimensional structure, Long Glass Fiber polypropylene, abbreviated as LGFPP. What is the difference between long glass fiber and short glass fiber?
Long Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene (LGFPP) has higher strength, stiffness and toughness, as well as dimensional stability and low warpage compared to ordinary 4~7mm short glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (GFPP). Generally use round runners with a minimum diameter of 5-6MM and no maximum upper limit on gate size. Shorten the sprue and taper to the gate, use large sprues and straight glue spouts. It is recommended that no more than 3-5% of recycled material be added to the molding process to reduce performance and performance degradation. The injection molding machine should be rinsed with polyethylene or polypropylene before shutting down, and long glass products should not be left in the feed cylinder.
