What is PP LGF30?

LFT-G® LGF30 PP GF30 NG03 LFT-Polypropylene Compounds White PelletsLFT-G® PP-LGF30 is a 30% long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic Copo-polypropylene composite. Designed for high-performance injection molding, this material bridges the gap between standard plastics and metals, offering exceptional impact toughness and structural rigidity.

  • Exceptional Impact Strength: The 12mm long-fiber skeleton provides 3-5x the toughness of standard short-fiber PP GF30.
  • Metal Replacement Performance: High tensile strength (121 MPa) and modulus make it a lightweight alternative to aluminum and steel.
  • Dimensional Stability: Ultra-low shrinkage (0.2-0.3%) ensures precision in large-scale injection molded parts.
  • Extreme Environment Durability: Maintains mechanical integrity from -30°C to 150°C, perfect for automotive under-the-hood applications.
  • Cost-Effective Manufacturing: Optimized for standard injection molding with high-flow characteristics.

Why Upgrade from PP GF30 to PP LGF30?

1. Superior Strength & Weight Reduction

LFT-G® PP-LGF30 utilizes a continuous fiber skeleton that distributes stress across a larger area.It offers significantly higher tensile strength (121MPa) than standard short fiber PP GF30.This allows engineers to design thinner-walled parts that are 15-20% lighter while maintaining the same structural integrity as aluminum.

2. Unmatched Impact Toughness

Long fiber reinforcement provides high energy absorption during high-impact events.Notched impact strength reaches 38 kJ/m², nearly 3x that of short-fiber grades.Parts are less likely to crack in sub-zero temperatures or under sudden heavy loads, ensuring long-term safety in automotive and industrial applications.

Industrial Success Cases

Automotive Engine Parts

Used for fan shrouds and engine covers. PP-LGF30 offers low creep and high heat distortion temperature (159°C), ensuring no deformation under long-term high-temperature exposure.

High-Efficiency Water Pumps

Replaced stainless steel impellers. Offers excellent chemical resistance and dimensional stability, improving pump efficiency while reducing production costs.

Processing Information

The following values are recommendations. We recommend desiccant / dry air dryers (moisture content below 0.1%).

To minimize fiber breakage and ensure optimal performance, a low-compression, general-purpose screw is highly recommended.

Parameter Recommendation
Drying Temperature 80 - 90 °C
Drying Time 2 - 4 hours
Melt Temperature (Nozzle ②) 210 - 250 °C
Mold Temperature (Zone ③) 38 - 69 °C
Back Pressure Low (to minimize fiber damage)
