Teijin recently announced that it has broken ground on the new carbon fiber production line of its wholly-owned subsidiary Teijin Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site of Teijin Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. in Greenwood, South Carolina.

It is expected that the TCF production line will create about 220 jobs around 2030, with an investment of about 600 million US dollars. This is the largest initial capital investment ever created by Greenwood in the history of the company.
