New standards for food contact materials are poised for growth
ICAS Inger test laboratory introduced that the National Health and Health Committee drafted the "Food Safety National Standard for Food Contact Composite Materials and Products" (draft for comments), and the new standard was further expanded into various food contact composite materials and products. Including plastic and paper, plastic, paper / aluminum foil, aluminum foil, metal plating composite materials, etc., but does not include materials blended with a variety of materials.
New concepts in food contact material standards
The new standard adds basic requirements for composite materials and products for food contact, raw material and additive requirements, and production requirements for adhesives, inks, and coatings that may be used in composite materials. Provisions have been made to include multiple indicators such as solvent residual amount, aromatic primary amine migration, decolorization test, microbial index, and migration test.
