Recently, the aviation industry Changfei successfully passed the on-site audit of Boeing 787 rudder composite material professional PPV (pre-production identification). The review included the PPV of the rudder beam and the closed rib and the FPQ (first piece identification) of the angle part.
PPV is an identification process in which the Boeing Engineering Department and the Quality Department jointly verify the conformity of part manufacturing at the supplier's site. Passing the PPV means that the production company has the manufacturing capability of the parts of the family.
During the audit, Boeing conducted a comprehensive review of the technical guidance documents and manufacturing instructions and inspection operations prepared by the engineering and technical personnel of the Changfei Boeing team, and also proposed some improvements. For this review, the Changfei Boeing team made full preparations and completed the various tasks of the inspection.
It is reported that since the Boeing 787 rudder project signed a MOA cooperation agreement with Boeing on September 15, 2015, it has completed equipment, facility renovation, equipment and process identification, and parts identification. After PPM (pre-production), PPV, and FPQ have passed the certification of Boeing, they can start production.
