American fine chemicals producer Ashland said on March 20 that it would consider selling the German BDO plant and its composites division that produces unsaturated polyester resins.
If Ashland decides to sell the factory and its branches, it is expected that an agreement will be signed by the end of 2018. Citibank is helping Ashland conduct a strategic assessment. The company said that Ashland plans to retain its BDO plant in Lima, Ohio, to ensure internal supply.
