Due to its high specific strength, high specific modulus, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance and design, T800 carbon fiber composite material will occupy an absolute dominant position in aviation composite materials for a long time in the present and future. China's T800 grade carbon fiber The reinforced composites research department is in its infancy. The application of the T800 composite material for the first time in domestic helicopter models is a qualitative leap from scientific research to engineering manufacturing. However, these are not all the same. The first piece of T800 material has the problem of non-destructive testing failure, project researchers. Actively coordinate relevant professional research offices, organize seminars, and determine disposal plans.

In order to solve the technical problems of T800 composite materials, China Aviation Industry Corporation has organized various relevant professionals to communicate and coordinate the progress. In order to ensure the model task node, the research team has gone deep into the manufacturing site on the mold plan and process parameters, and has many rounds of discussions and repeated discussions with the craftsmen. The professional designers of strength, structure and materials have worked together to discuss the manufacturing process parameters. And testing the norms, tackling the difficulties, and put forward a feasible plan. In one fell swoop, the actual production problems such as pore recoating of T800 composite materials were solved.

In March 2018, the newly manufactured T800 composite parts were finally released, and all non-destructive tests were qualified to meet the technical requirements. Preliminary results have been achieved in the manufacture of T800 materials. The research and development of advanced materials for domestic helicopters has reached a new height.

This time, the T800 composite material was first applied in the domestic aviation field, which is another achievement achieved by transforming the pre-research results into engineering applications.
