Injection molding process conditions
Drying treatment: The humidity should be below 0.1% before processing. If the material is stored in the air, it is recommended to dry in 85C hot air for 4 to 5 hours. If the material is stored in a closed container, it can be used directly after 3 hours of temperature equilibration.
Melting temperature: 240~300°C; do not exceed 310°C for common characteristic materials, and do not exceed 270°C for materials with flame retardant properties.
High speed injection speeds allow for good molding.
PA12 Nylon 12 elastomer has excellent noise and vibration damping properties, and has low sliding friction coefficient, excellent wear resistance and high volume stability for steel, POM, PBT and other materials under dry running conditions. Because of these properties, the product is particularly suitable for silent gears such as DVDs, CDs, MDs, VCRs, camcorders, digital cameras, printers and video recorders.
Different from others
Compared with PA6 and PA66, PA12 has a lower melting point and density and has a very high moisture regain. PA12 is not resistant to strong oxidizing acids. The viscosity of PA12 is mainly determined by humidity, temperature and storage time. It is very fluid. The shrinkage is between 0.5% and 2%, depending on the material variety, wall thickness and other process conditions.
