Borat, Italy, October 22, 2019 – With LFT composites, Stajvelo has successfully produced the world's first electric bicycle with advanced injection molding composites. This innovative urban electric bike combines the advantages of convenience, comfort and design, and is on display at the 2019 K show.

The range of performance of composite materials can successfully replace metals in medical devices, automotive exteriors, and small appliances that require high surface aesthetics. According to Thierry Manni, CEO and founder of Stajvelo, “With the support of LFT polymer expertise and processing technology, we have been able to design a manufacturing process that combines optimal functional integration while saving assembly time.”

LFT composites are generally between 20% and 60% fiber-reinforced according to different polymer types and grades. These reinforcing fibers become important structural elements in the product by constructing a mutually entangled 3D fiber skeleton in the final molded part. This sturdy fiber skeleton gives the part excellent structural properties and dimensional stability compared to conventional short-fiber reinforced polymers.
