The “Altair Enlighten Award” is a media partner of SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineering International) and Automobil Industrie (German Automotive Industry Association), which is jointly owned by Altair Engineering*1 and CAR=Center for Automotive Research. The awards are awarded to companies that have developed innovative vehicle lightweight technologies in three categories, including complete vehicles, modules and lightweight technologies. The company has developed a replacement metal pedal bracket for Mazda's existing models using its own glass fiber reinforced polyamide resin “Reyuna?”. Among them, one of CAE*2 uses the best topology analysis of Asahi Kasei resin, and proposes an epoch-making part shape, which may reduce the weight by 83%. This achievement is recognized and awarded the Lightweight Technology category award.
