According to the Defense Information Network, the global aerospace and defense technology leader ATK and Lockheed Martin celebrated the track ATK's completion of the 5000th F-35 composite parts and successful delivery. These 5,000 composite parts meet approximately the demand for approximately 430 F-35 fighters.
Orbital ATK currently produces nearly 90% of upper and lower wing skins, engine compartments, inlet flaps and fixed skins for the F-35 Lightning II fighter at the Aerospace Structure Division plant in Clearfield, Utah. . Orbital ATK, along with its partner Janicki Industries, processes parts in strict engineering requirements and delivers them in time to support the general contractor Lockheed Martin and other international suppliers. In 2017, Track ATK was also awarded another contract to produce fillet and blade seals for the F-35.
