For the past 20 years, BMW has updated the 8 Series coupe for the first time. BMW's digital car line has already made a breakthrough in the 7-series model, a model that uses a lot of carbon fiber components, and sold only 9,276 units last year. BMW's press release also mentioned that the M8 is under development, but did not disclose more details.

For the 2019 Coupé in 2019, BMW used magnesium to make the dashboard when using carbon fiber as the transmission tunnel. OEMs will also allow customers to choose a carbon fiber roof, which is BMW's first production and will help reduce the center of gravity of the vehicle and increase the flexibility of the sports car. OEMs will also offer an optional carbon fiber M sports kit in which the intake rod, mirror cover, spoiler and rear diffuser are made of CFRP.
BMW plans to introduce two models: the BMW M850i xDrive Coupe M Performance, equipped with the new 390 kW / 530 hp V8 engine and the BMW 840d xDrive Coupe with a six-cylinder in-line diesel engine.
However, because aluminum is used for doors and hoods, and magnesium is used for parts of various types of passenger compartments, these vehicles weigh 4,478 pounds, more than 100 pounds more than the current M5.
BMW said its goal is to launch in November 2018.
