Recently, the BMW 
Group announced that it plans to invest more than 10 million euros to establish a new 3D printing R&D and production center in Upper Schlesheim in northern Munich. The centre will bring together all of the BMW Group's expertise to date with this technology, promote the development of the BMW Group in this field and help the BMW Group maintain its pioneering role in technological innovation.
The new center will also provide BMW's engineers and designers with a new level of interdisciplinary collaboration and training learning platform.
