Arkema will open its 3D Printing Center of Excellence at its facility in Sartomer Exton, Pa.
In this state-of-the-art R&D lab, Sartomer and its partners will further develop cutting-edge 3D printing resins through innovative materials research and collaboration. This new center will complete Arkema's global R&D network and develop advanced materials for additive manufacturing. Sartomer is a business unit of Arkema and a pioneer in the design of engineering resins for the manufacture of UV-cured additive products sold under the N3xtDimension® brand. These light-cured 3D printed materials provide products with similar thermoplastic mechanical properties for applications such as dentistry, sports and electronics.
The 3D Printing Center of Excellence will accommodate most UV-based technologies: stereolithography (SLA), digital light processing (DLP) and multi-jet printing (MJP). It provides a space for chemists and application engineers to develop custom resins based on customer needs.
The advanced laboratory will complete the Group's existing R&D network and is committed to the fast-growing 3D printing market, which is the driving force behind Arkema's future development.

The Sartomer 3D Printing Center of Excellence, based in Exton, Pa., will open on July 30, 2018.
