Understanding LGF50 PP Material

 

LGF50 PP is a high-performance long-fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material that is made by using polypropylene (PP) as the matrix and adding 50% long glass fibers (50% Long Glass Fiber).

Compared with traditional short glass fiber reinforced PP (SGF PP), LGF50 PP achieves a continuous reinforcing network structure during injection molding by maintaining a longer length of glass fibers. This significantly enhances the material's load-bearing capacity, impact resistance, fatigue life, and dimensional stability.

Key features of LGF50 PP Composite

① High-strength structural substitution capability

Compared with ordinary PP, LGF50 PP has significantly enhanced tensile strength and bending stiffness, and can be used to replace some metal, aluminum alloy, and high-cost engineering plastic structural components.

② Excellent impact resistance

The long glass fiber structure can absorb external impact energy, preventing the material from rapidly cracking.
Advantages: High impact absorption capacity, excellent low-temperature impact performance, suitable for dynamic load environments.

③ Outstanding dimensional stability

PP inherently has significant issues with thermal expansion and contraction. However, the addition of long glass fibers can limit the material's deformation.

LGF50 PP reduces stress concentration through a long-fiber framework, enhances the lifespan of cyclic loads, maintains long-term rigidity, and has excellent creep resistance.
