LFT-G® LFT PP Long Fiber Reinforced Material

LFT-G® LFT PP LGF composite is made by reinforcing polypropylene with long glass fibers.LFT thermoplastic materials are long fiber thermoplastic reinforced composites that have good mechanical properties and heat resistance and can be used to manufacture a wide range of industrial supplies.LFT Composite is characterized by high strength, high heat resistance and good corrosion resistance.

LFT composites consisting of thermoplastic resins (PP, PA, ABS, TPU, PPS, PEEK) with reinforcements (long glass fiber/long carbon fiber) offer durability, high toughness, high impact resistance and damage tolerance;

LFT-G® LFT composites offer improved mechanical properties and chemical resistance, higher service temperatures, high specific strength and hardness, excellent fracture toughness and damage tolerance, excellent fatigue resistance, the ability to injection mold complex geometries and structures, adjustable thermal conductivity, recyclability, stability in harsh environments, and repeatability.

Long fiber reinforced composites are generally about 12-20 mm in fiber length and are usually prepared using continuous fibers impregnated with resin and cut to length. The process generally used is the pultrusion molding process, in which a continuous roving of fiber and thermoplastic resin blend is produced by stretching the fiber through a special molding die. At present, long fiber reinforced PPA thermoplastic composites through injection molding can reach structural properties of more than 400MPa, modulus can reach more than 20GPa, providing more product material options for engineering plastic parts.
