What Is LFRT

Long fiber reinforced thermoplastic LFRT is prepared by pultrusion technology. During the preparation process, the pultrusion process allows the long fibers to uniformly penetrate into the plastic matrix, thereby achieving an optimized reinforcing effect. Unlike conventional staple fiber reinforcements, LFRT parts have longer fibers and they are intertwined to form a fiber skeleton that limits anisotropic shrinkage and significantly reduces warpage. Its fibers typically have a length of about 6-25 mm. Combining its excellent mechanical, impact, creep and low warpage properties, LFRT products are ideal candidates for metal replacement materials.
