Long carbon fiber reinforcements give this composite excellent stiffness and strength, and long glass fiber reinforcements help increase durability. The mechanical properties of the composite material make it widely applicable to many metal lightweight alternatives or as a substitute for other material markets. Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is a polyurethane plastic with various properties including elasticity, transparency, oil resistance, lubricity and abrasion resistance. Technically, they are thermoplastic elastomers and consist of a linear copolymer of hard and soft segments.
