PA6 LCF30 compounds are a type of composite material made from polyamide 6 and long carbon fiber. These compounds offer an excellent combination of mechanical properties, high stiffness, and strength.
The manufacturing process for PA6 LCF30 compounds involves the extrusion of polyamide 6 together with long glass fibers. The glass fibers are typically 30% of the total composite material. Successful processing of these compounds requires a stable melt viscosity to ensure a uniform distribution of the fiber. The extruded material is then molded into the desired shape while still hot.
