Polycaprolactam and polylaurolactam commonly known as: Nylon 12, is an engineering plastic with excellent performance. In 1966, German Huls first realized the industrial production of PA12 with butadiene as raw material. In 1969, British Chemicals developed it. The method of preparing PA12 from cyclohexanone was used, and Ube Industries Co., Ltd. (UBE) built the production equipment using this process. In 1978, Snia Company of Italy developed the synthesis of aminododecanoic acid from cyclododecatriene (CDT). In 2010, the global PA12 total capacity is estimated to be above 100kt/a, mainly including four suppliers such as French ARKE-MA, German DEGUSSA, Swiss Earth EMS, and Japanese UBE. China's Jiangsu Huaiyin Chemical Research Institute and Shanghai Synthetic Resin Research Institute have cooperated with butadiene as raw material for PA12 synthesis since 1977. In 1982, a simulation device was built. In 1993, a pilot plant was built. In 1989, Sinopec Baling Petrochemical used cyclohexanone as raw material to carry out a nylon 12 pilot test. PA12 has many different types and different types of structures, and is a complicated family. Because of the special nature of PA12, and because of the high price of PA12, there are many PA raw materials on the market, especially for ordinary high transparent PA and PA12 elastomer high transparent materials, it is particularly difficult to distinguish if there is no quite professional level. The humidity should be below 0.1% before processing PA12. The material is stored in air and dried in hot air at 80 ° C for 4-6 h. The material is stored in a closed container and can be used directly after 3 hours of temperature equilibration. The mold temperature is 30-80 ° C, the front temperature of the barrel is 240~300 ° C, the general characteristic PA12 should not exceed 310 ° C, and the flame retardant characteristic PA12 should not exceed 270 ° C. The temperature at the rear of the middle of the barrel is lower than the temperature at the front. The injection pressure is 108 MPa, and the high-speed injection speed can make the molding better.
