FACC, a subsidiary of AVIC Xifei, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Airbus to expand its strategic cooperation in aircraft interiors. In addition to the previously completed baggage module and cabin ceiling, the FACC's supply list will be accompanied by a boarding gate module for all Airbus A320 family passenger aircraft.
The contract signed this time is worth more than 230 million euros. The signing of the contract is based on a new SMC production process developed by FACC and a new highly automated production line. This cost the FACC millions of euros in capital investment. This new SMC process significantly reduces production costs compared to traditional SMC processes.
