LFT-G® PP GF60 (LGF60) – Ultra-Stiff Metal Replacement

LFT-G® PP GF60 LGF60 Pellets LFT-G® PP GF60 (Model: LFT-PP-GF60-NG06) is an extreme-performance structural composite engineered with a massive 60% long glass fiber loading. It pushes the physical limits of polypropylene, bridging the final gap between thermoplastics and die-cast metal alloys.

Standard glass fiber pp maxes out at 40% due to brittleness. By utilizing our continuous pultrusion technology, the 10-12mm fibers form an ultra-dense, unbreakable 3D internal skeleton. This delivers unmatched rigidity, near-zero shrinkage, and exceptional load-bearing capacity for the most demanding heavy-duty applications.

Core Specifications:

  • Extreme Modulus: Exceeds 12,000 - 13,000 MPa flexural stiffness.
  • Weight Reduction: 50% lighter than standard aluminum castings.
  • Dimensional Precision: Minimal thermal expansion and warpage.
  • Corrosion Free: Total immunity to rust and industrial fluids.

Industry Applications: Absolute Rigidity

Aerospace Structural Bracket LFT PA66 CF50

Heavy-Duty Impellers & Fans

Large industrial fans face massive centrifugal forces that easily warp standard plastics. With a 14,000 MPa modulus, our 60% LGF compound ensures fan blades remain perfectly rigid at high RPMs, increasing aerodynamic efficiency while vastly reducing the weight load on the motor.

Automotive Sub-Frames & Mounts

Automotive Sub-Frames & Mounts

Designed to replace magnesium and aluminum in vehicle chassis components. It offers the exact dimensional stability and load-bearing strength required for engine mounts and panoramic sunroof frames, eliminating secondary machining and rusting issues forever.

UAV & Drone Chassis LFT PP GF60 Black Composite

UAV & Drone Chassis

Commercial drones require absolute frame rigidity for flight stability, but metal is too heavy. Our 60% glass fiber formulation provides the ultimate specific stiffness (stiffness-to-weight ratio), allowing extended flight times and higher payload capacities.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is 60% glass fiber PP too brittle to use?

A: If it were short fiber, yes. A 60% short fiber compound would be extremely brittle. However, because our LFT-G® technology maintains 10-12mm long glass fiber, the continuous internal skeleton absorbs and distributes stress, giving it remarkable durability despite the massive rigidity.

Q: Does PP GF60 require special injection molding machines?

A: Standard machines work, but due to the high 60% glass content, the melt viscosity is high. We highly recommend using highly wear-resistant (bimetallic) screws and barrels. Additionally, larger gates and low back pressure are required to prevent excessive fiber breakage during injection.

Q: How does the weight of LGF60 compare to Aluminum?

A: Our LGF60 compound has a density of approximately 1.45 g/cm³. Cast aluminum has a density of around 2.7 g/cm³. This means that by switching to our material, you immediately cut the weight of the component by almost 50% while maintaining the necessary structural rigidity.
