What is PP LGF40?
LFT-G® PP LGF40 is a type of thermoplastic composite PP material that is reinforced Polypropylene with 40% long glass fibers. This means that the material comprises a matrix of plastic (polypropylene) that is enriched with long glass fibers woven together. The glass fibers provide reinforcement to the plastic matrix, making it sturdier and more robust than traditional plastics or short fiber composites.
Why filled long glass fiber and not short glass fiber? LGF stands for Long Glass Fiber (5-25mm), which is added to the polypropylene pellets during the manufacturing process to give the material higher strength and stiffness. Keep longer fiber, that can provide the LFT-PP Composite's the property of bear pressure from outside, result to the LFT-G® PP LGF40 has excellent high mechanical strength, good chemical corrosion and thermal properties make it ideal for use in applications where strength and durability are critical.
