What is GF40 PP UV Grade?

LFT-G® NG04V PP GF40 is a 40% long glass fiber reinforced Polypropylene composite with UV resistance performance Homo-polymer. This advanced glass reinforced plastic is engineered for superior outdoor durability and structural integrity. By reinforcing a polypropylene homopolymer with 40% long glass fiber and a specialized UV-stabilizer package, this reinforced polymer delivers exceptional mechanical strength that is maintained even after prolonged sun exposure. Unlike short fiber versions which offer limited strength, the interlocking long fiber network provides superior impact resistance and stiffness. This PP GF40 grade is ideal for automotive exterior parts, outdoor furniture, and sporting equipment where both performance and weatherability are crucial.

To achieve optimal performance and surface finish from LFT-G® PP GF40, precise control over the injection molding process is key. The higher 40% fiber loading requires careful management of screw speed, back pressure, and injection velocity to preserve the integrity of the long glass fiber network, which is fundamental to the material's superior strength and impact properties.
