PPA is a thermoplastic functional nylon with both semi-crystalline and amorphous structures. PPA is obtained by polycondensation of phthalic acid with o-phenylenediamine. It has excellent thermal, electrical and physical properties. Comprehensive properties in chemical resistance, etc., excellent mechanical properties including high rigidity, high strength, high dimensional accuracy and low temperature in 200 ° C continuous high temperature, humidity, oil stain and chemical corrosion. Warpage and stability, fatigue resistance, creep resistance. The main application is mainly amorphous PPA. It has excellent high rigidity and high strength at high temperature. PPA has high hardness and excellent mechanical strength such as bending, tensile and impact at high temperature, and can resist long-term tensile creep. Its rigidity and strength even exceed PPS and PEEK at a high temperature of 120 °C. Particularly suitable for replacing die-cast alloys to reduce costs. PPA has higher thermal stability than PA46, better CTI arc resistance and infrared reflow capability. PPA has excellent resistance to various oils such as gasoline, diesel, engine oil, mineral oil and transformer oil, even at 150 °C. PPA is suitable for long-term outdoor use without causing a decrease in physical properties even under extreme climatic conditions such as high ultraviolet radiation, high humidity, and high temperature. The accelerated weathering test shows that the tensile strength and impact strength of 30% and 50% glass fiber reinforced polyphthalamide can be maintained above 60% and 80%, respectively, and the aroma of PPA is high. The ring structure allows it to be more resistant to more chemicals even at high temperatures. PPA on turpentine, methane, methanol, water, seawater, dilute acid and other oils and fats, fuels, organic solvents, antimony chemicals, brake fluid, calcium chloride, ethylene glycol, zinc chloride, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorine Hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and most aqueous solutions exhibit excellent resistance. But it can not withstand the action of strong acid and strong oxidant, soluble in phenol and cresol.
