TPU does not contain any plasticizer and can be laminated with other materials such as ABS and polycarbonate. Many commercial TPUs are polyester type, and polyester TPU is superior to polyether TPU in abrasion resistance, tear resistance and tensile and tear strength. The polyether ester type TPU synthesized by a special method has superior performance, and has the properties of polyether type and polyester type thermoplastic polyurethane, and can be used for production of fire hoses, cable sheaths and films.
