Technical Parameters

LFT-G® Long Glass Fiber Reinforced Poly(m-xylylene adipamide)

MXD6 GF40 Nylon 40% Long Fiber Compound

LFT-G® MXD6 LGF50 is a premium-grade 50% long-glass-fiber-reinforced semi-aromatic polyamide (MXD6) engineering thermoplastic compound, engineered with our proprietary continuous long-fiber impregnation technology to deliver an unmatched combination of metal-like mechanical strength, exceptional dimensional stability, inherent high gas-barrier properties, and long-term reliability in harsh operating environments. Vastly outperforming conventional short-glass-filled MXD6, glass-reinforced PA66, and standard engineering plastics, our LFT-G MXD6 LGF50 fully retains the structural integrity of continuous long glass fibers, which interlock to form a robust three-dimensional reinforcement network throughout the MXD6 matrix, amplifying the native advantages of semi-aromatic MXD6 resin.

Overview of LFT-G® MXD6 LGF50 Production

PA12 GF30 Manufacturing

Intro

LFT-G® MXD6 LGF50 (m-xylylene adipamide) pellets are produced through a streamlined, high-precision process to ensure consistent fiber dispersion and mechanical strength. Here's our core production flow:

Step-by-Step Production

1. Fiber Roving Prep: Premium fiberglass rovings are unwound and aligned for uniform distribution, critical for maintaining 50% long glass fiber loading in MXD6 LGF50.

2. Polymer Melting: Virgin MXD6 resin and performance additives are melted in an extruder to create a homogeneous thermoplastic melt, optimized for fiber bonding.

3. Impregnation (Core Step): Fibers are saturated with molten MXD6 in an advanced impregnation die, ensuring full coating and a precise 50% fiber-to-resin ratio for MXD6 LGF50.

4. Pulling & Cooling: The composite strand is pulled to maintain tension, then cooled to solidify the matrix and preserve the 6-25 mm fiber length that defines MXD6 LGF50 performance.

5. Granulation: The solid strand is cut into 0.5" / 11mm MXD6 LGF50 granules, ready for downstream injection molding or extrusion.

Key Application Fields

EV Battery Pack Structural Components

EV Battery Pack Structural Components

Designed for battery end plates, side plates, and module spacers, MXD6 LGF50 delivers the structural integrity required to secure high-energy cells. Its inherently low moisture absorption prevents dimensional change in humid or condensing environments, maintaining consistent clamping force across the pack's lifespan. As a direct lightweight metal replacement, it also provides built-in electrical insulation, reducing the risk of short circuits and simplifying pack design.

Electric Coolant Pump Impellers & Housings

When molded into electronic water pump impellers, thermostat housings, and coolant valves, MXD6 LGF50 thrives in long-term hot glycol exposure at 130–150°C. The 50% long glass fiber network locks in exceptional creep resistance and fatigue endurance, so rotating parts stay perfectly balanced. Minimal water absorption preserves roundness and dimensional fit, ensuring quiet, vibration-free operation over thousands of hours.

Industrial Robot End-Effectors & Structural Brackets

Industrial Robot End-Effectors & Structural Brackets

Replacing machined aluminum in robotic grippers, clamping brackets, and jigs, MXD6 LGF50 trims component weight by up to 40% without trading away stiffness. The long fiber architecture ensures flat, warp-free parts right out of the mold, eliminating secondary straightening steps. Its natural vibration damping also protects sensitive sensors and allows faster cycle speeds on automated lines.

High-Load Gears & Transmission Parts

High-Load Gears & Transmission Parts

For power tool gearboxes, camshafts, and transmission gears, MXD6 LGF50 supplies metal-level torque capacity with quiet, smooth meshing. The combination of a crystalline MXD6 base and 50% long glass gives the surface hardness to resist tooth wear, while the 3D fiber skeleton prevents deformation under continuous load-enabling true net-shape molding that slashes machining costs.
