What is GF40 TPU Plastic Pellet?

40% Long Glass Fiber TPU material (LGF40 TPU) is a kind of high-strength composite engineering plastic material with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) as the matrix and 40% long glass fiber as the reinforcing filler. Compared with chopped glass fiber (SGF), long glass fiber is generally 5 to 25mm in length. During processing, it maintains a longer fiber morphology, which can form a stronger skeleton support structure and endow the material with higher tensile strength, flexural modulus and impact resistance. 

GF40 TPU material is a thermoplastic elastomer that combines the properties of plastics and rubber, featuring excellent flexibility, wear resistance, oil resistance and low-temperature performance.  

It outperforms ordinary glass fiber chopped strand reinforced TPU (SGF) materials in terms of structural strength, heat resistance, dimensional stability, etc., and has extremely high practical value in structural applications such as automobiles, industry, and rail transit.

A: Although TPU materials are typically suitable for 3D printing, GF40 TPU compound resin, due to its high proportion of glass fibers, has harder particles, wears more down the nozzle, and has lower fluidity, making it temporarily unsuitable for 3d printing technology.

Q: How is the impact resistance of GF40 TPU composite? Will it become brittle?

A: GF40 TPU plastic pellet still retains the excellent flexibility and energy absorption properties of TPU itself. Therefore, on the basis of 40% glass fiber reinforcement, it still has good impact resistance and is not as prone to cracking as some glass fiber reinforced nylons (such as PA6 GF30 material).

Q: Is GF40 TPU materials environmentally friendly? Is it recyclable?
