While PA6 is a fantastic performer, PA66 is the superior choice for the most demanding thermal and environmental challenges.
Q: Does PA66 require different processing than PA6?
A: Processing is very similar, but PA66 requires higher melt and mold temperatures due to its higher melting point. A typical melt temperature for LFT PA66 is 280-300°C. As with all polyamides, mandatory pre-drying is absolutely critical to prevent degradation and ensure performance.
