What is PA6 LGF50?

LFT-G® PA6 LGF50 is a high-performance fiber nylon material that 50%long glass fiber with polyamide6 resin is widely used in various demanding applications where high strength, stiffness, and impact resistance are required than short fiber reinforced PA6 material. The long fiber PA6 material's unique properties make it an ideal choice for the automotive, electronics, and construction industries. The ease of processing, dimensional stability, and high-temperature resistance of the material further add to its appeal.

The difference of short fiber nylon and long fiber nylon material:

Nylon particles of ordinary glass fiber:
Size is about 3-4mm, aspect ratio 50-250.
Nylon particles with long glass fiber:
Size of about 10-12mm, aspect ratio > 400
In addition, the distribution of glass fibers in the two types of particles is also different.

Shrinkage is critical to the dimensions of the part, and short fiberglass materials have much higher transverse shrinkage than longitudinal shrinkage and are more anisotropic, resulting in parts that are difficult to dimensionally control and shrink significantly. Long fiberglass materials, on the other hand, have transverse and longitudinal shrinkage rates that are very close to each other, showing anisotropy, improving the risk of part warpage and making dimensions easier to control.

Advantages of LFT long fiber composite

Extremly Mechanical Properties

Keep longer glass carbon fiber, the LFT long fiber composite will provide higher stiffness strength, high modulus, thoughness than short fiber reinforced material

Strong dimensional durability

LFT long fiber composite is made of high-strength fiber materials such as high-flow Polypropylene/Nylon , which greatly improves its durability and strength.

Excellent Chemical Corrosion

LFT Composite choose multi matrix resin from PP to PEEK,Very good corrosion and chemical resistance Retains performance across low and elevated temperatures

USEFUL AREAS

PA6 LGF50 is also widely used in the electronics industry for the production of various components such as housing, bezels, and frames. The material's excellent electrical insulation properties make it ideal for these applications.
