LFT-G® LFT PA66 Reinforced Material

LFT-G® PA66 LCF is a high-performance composite material that is made by reinforcing polyamide 66 (PA66) with long carbon fiber. The resulting material offers excellent mechanical properties, such as high stiffness, strength, and impact resistance, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, including automotive, electrical equipment, sports equipment, and more. PA6 LCF material is one type of long fiber reinforced thermoplastic (LFT Composite) with high modulus, low creep, good wear resistance etc. mechanical performance, can be applied for auto part, home appliance part, sport part some engineering plastic industrials.

According to the fiber retention size (L) in the products can be divided into: short fiber reinforced thermoplastics (SFRT, L < 1.0 mm), long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFT or LFRT, generally L > 10 mm), continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites plastics (CFRT, generally the fiber is continuous without cutting).

Compared with SFRT, LFT has the characteristics of low density, high specific strength, high specific modulus and strong impact resistance, which is suitable for harsh application conditions, and this has become one of the main reasons why LFT is favored by the downstream application industry. The more popular LFT materials can be roughly summarized into three categories: Glass Mat Reinforced Thermoplastics GMT (Glass Mat Reinforced Thermoplastics), Long-Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Granules LFT-G (Long-Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) and Long-Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic Granules (Long-Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic). LFT-G composite material is recyclable, has high specific strength and stiffness, good corrosion resistance, impact resistance, heat resistance, low cost and design flexibility, and has great potential to be used in automotive lightweight design, replacing part of the metal materials and high-end polymer materials.
