LFT-G® PP GF50 – Extreme Stiffness Homopolymer

LFT-G® PP GF50 (Model: LFT-G®PP-GF50-NG05) is a heavy-duty structural composite engineered for maximum rigidity. It features a high-crystallinity Homopolymer Polypropylene matrix densely reinforced with 50% continuous fiberglass, designed specifically to replace die-cast metals in highly demanding industrial and home appliance applications.

While traditional glass fiber pp materials utilize chopped fibers that offer limited reinforcement, our proprietary pultrusion manufacturing process ensures that the long glass fiber (typically 10-12mm in length) remains fully intact and impregnated within the pellet. During injection molding, these extended fibers intertwine to form a robust 3D structural skeleton inside the final part.

This high-loading 50% LGF grade delivers an exceptional flexural modulus exceeding 11,000 MPa. It is the definitive material choice for heavy load-bearing structural frames, automotive chassis brackets, and is highly optimized for washing machine plastic parts that require absolute dimensional stability under severe vibration.

Why Choose Long Fiber PP GF50?

  • Maximum Flexural Stiffness: The 50% fiberglass loading in a homopolymer base achieves metal-like rigidity. It prevents part deflection even when subjected to massive mechanical stress or heavy static loads.

  • Exceptional Fatigue Resistance: Short glass pp can crack under repetitive motion. The long glass fiber network acts as an energy dissipator, surviving millions of high-frequency vibration cycles without failing.

  • Ultra-Low Creep Deformation: Polypropylene naturally creeps under constant load over time. The high-density continuous fiber skeleton locks the polymer chains, practically eliminating dimensional changes over the product's lifespan.

  • Hydrolysis & Chemical Immunity: Unlike Nylon (PA66) which absorbs moisture and weakens, this Homopolymer PP base is impervious to water, detergents, and alkaline solutions, making it a permanent solution for wet environments.

Washing Machine Components

🧺

Application: Drums, tubs, and spider brackets.
Benefit: The ideal material for washing machine plastic parts. It easily supports heavy wet laundry loads and resists severe spin-cycle vibrations without cracking.

Automotive Structural Frames

🚙

Application: Front-end modules & seat pan carriers.
Benefit: Achieves a 40% weight reduction compared to steel brackets while maintaining equivalent crash-test structural integrity.

Industrial Pump & Valve Brackets

⚙️

Application: Heavy-duty fluid system supports.
Benefit: Eliminates rust and corrosion issues typical of metal, while the 50% fiberglass loading prevents part bending under high internal pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the difference between 50% glass fiber PP and PA66 GF50?

A: The biggest difference is moisture absorption and weight. Nylon (PA66) absorbs water, which causes it to lose stiffness and change dimensions over time. Glass fiber pp absorbs virtually zero moisture, keeping its mechanical strength consistent in humid environments. Additionally, PP is significantly lighter (lower density) and more cost-effective than PA66.

Q: Can fiberglass PP really replace aluminum die casting?

A: Yes, using long glass fiber technology. Standard short-fiber PP is too weak. However, our LFT-G® PP GF50 creates an internal 3D fiber skeleton that provides a flexural modulus of over 11,000 MPa. It is strong enough to replace aluminum in structural brackets, reducing weight by nearly half and eliminating expensive machining processes.

Q: Is long glass fiber PP good for washing machine plastic parts?

A: It is the industry standard for high-end washing machines. Parts like inner tubs, drums, and bearing spiders endure constant exposure to hot water, detergents, and extreme spin-cycle vibrations. LFT-G® Homopolymer LGF50 provides the perfect balance of chemical resistance, absolute dimensional stability, and fatigue endurance required for these components.
