What is PP LGF50?
LFT-G® PP LGF50 NG05 is a type of thermoplastic composite PP material that is reinforced Polypropylene with 50% long glass fibers. PP LGF50 refers to PP compounded with long glass fiber (LGF) at a loading of 50% weight. This PP LGF50 material has become increasingly popular in the infrastructure industry due to its excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and cost-effectiveness.
LFT-G® PP LGF50 has superior strength and stiffness compared to unfilled PP. The long glass fibers reinforce the polymer matrix, improving its tensile and flexural strength, as well as its modulus of elasticity and creep resistance. PP LGF50 also exhibits excellent impact strength, making it ideal for applications that experience high impact loads. PP LGF50 exhibits excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals. This makes it suitable for use in harsh chemical environments, such as chemical processing plants or wastewater treatment plants. Additionally, the material's resistance to UV radiation extends its lifespan and makes it ideal for outdoor applications.
