Key Specifications of PP-LGF40
Engineered for high-load components, LFT-G® PP-LGF40 provides verified mechanical enhancements, offering an exceptional balance of high stiffness and dynamic impact strength.
PP LGF40 vs. Standard PP GF40 (Short Fiber)
Standard short-fiber compounds use broken glass fragments (usually <1.0 mm) that fracture easily. LFT-G® PP-LGF40 preserves glass fibers (typically 5–25 mm in the pellet, remaining several millimeters long after molding) embedded in a polypropylene matrix. The long fibers form an internal 3D entangled network skeleton during injection molding, providing superior impact resistance and fatigue resistance compared to short glass fiber alternatives.
Standard Short PP GF40
- Average internal fiber length: less than 1.0 mm.
- Fractures easily under dynamic impact loads.
- High molding shrinkage causes structural warping.
LFT-G® PP LGF40 (Long Fiber)
- Continuous fiber network (5-25mm pellet).
- 2.5x higher impact resistance and energy absorption.
- Low shrinkage prevents structural warp.
