LFT-G® LGF40 Nylon 66 Polymer
What Is LGF40 PA66?
LFT-G® LGF40 PA66 is a thermoplastic composite material that is based on polyamide 66 (PA66/Nylon 66) and contains 40% long glass fibers as the reinforcing phase.
Engineering Challenges
When ordinary reinforcing materials fail to meet the structural requirements,
engineering material selection often does not merely aim for higher individual strength, but also needs to consider the component stiffness, continuous load, installation accuracy and long-term performance.
Insufficient structural stiffness
Under continuous load or complex stress conditions, components may deform, affecting assembly and performance.
Size control of complex structures
Reinforcing ribs, bolts and multi-installation point structures impose higher requirements on the material's stiffness, flow and forming process.
Balancing lightweight and load-bearing
While controlling the weight of the components, mechanical strength, assembly and actual working conditions still need to be met.

Why Choose LGF40 PA66?
Long glass fiber reinforced structure
Compared with the common short glass fiber reinforced system, long glass fiber materials, under appropriate design and molding conditions, have better potential for impact resistance and load-bearing performance.
01
Higher structural stiffness potential
Suitable for injection molded components with high requirements for stiffness, deformation control, and structural support.
02
Structural integration design
Can be designed in combination with reinforcing ribs, support positions, and installation structures, helping to reduce unnecessary component combinations.
03
Metal substitution assessment
For components that meet strength, temperature resistance, fatigue, and safety requirements, it is possible to assess the substitution of some metal structures with engineering plastics.
04
Where Are The differences Compared To Other Materials?
Main Characteristics |
Main Characteristics |
| Unreinforced PA66 | It has good toughness and processing flexibility, but the structural stiffness is usually relatively low. |
| Short glass fiber PA66 | The reinforcing effect is obvious, and it is suitable for various general structural components; the long glass fiber system can be further evaluated for impact and load-bearing requirements. |
| LGF40 PA66 | Suitable for applications that focus on stiffness, structural support, and comprehensive impact resistance performance. |
| Metal materials | The load-bearing capacity and temperature resistance performance depend on the specific metal; for plastic solutions, advantages in lightweighting, integrated design, and manufacturing cost can be evaluated. |
LGF40 PA66: Appliation Ranges

Processing & Design
Material properties need to be coordinated with the molding process.
The final performance of long glass fiber materials is not only determined by the resin formula, but also affected by the mold structure, gate position, flow path, and molding parameters.
- Mold and gate design: Minimize unnecessary flow turns and fiber damage as much as possible.
- Molding parameter control: Optimize the barrel temperature, mold temperature, and injection conditions according to the recommendations of the material supplier.
- Structural design optimization: Pay attention to wall thickness variations, reinforcing ribs, screws, and local stress concentration.
- PA66 moisture management: Dry, store, and process before molding according to the material technical data.
- Component verification: Evaluate dimensions, mechanical properties, heat resistance, and durability based on actual operating conditions.
