Using long glass fiber reinforced high density polyethylene to make high performance pipe is the most cost-effective technology in the market.In the continuous thermoplastic reinforced long glass fiber HDPE pipe, the long glass fibers are uniformly parallel, perfectly coated and distributed in the polyethylene.The long glass fiber is wound around the outer wall of the inner tube and fully fused with the inner and outer polyethylene layer of the reinforcement tube.The long glass fiber reinforced HDPE pressure pipe is usually a three-layer composite structure:

the lining layer is the solid wall layer of HDPE used to contain the conveying medium, which can be extruded, wound and fused, or the thin-wall solid wall pipe can be extruded directly.

Reinforcement layer: The middle layer is the reinforcement layer formed by winding and fusion of long glass fiber reinforcement belt. It is used to bear internal pressure load. If the pipe is required to bear both annular and axial loads, spiral winding or annular + axial alternating winding is adopted for reinforcement layer.If only the pipe is required to bear circumferential load, the reinforcement band is wound in the near-circumferential direction.

Outer protective layer: the outer protective layer of HDPE is used to protect the reinforcement layer of pipe (including anti-ULTRAVIOLET ray). It is formed by extruding and melting polyethylene material by wrapping and welding.It can be accomplished through a variety of winding processes when certain functions need to be performed, such as molding socket outlets and increasing pipe rigidity.
