1. What are the characteristics of nylon shrinkage?

Similar to other crystalline plastics, nylon resin shrinkage rate larger problems, the maximum nylon with crystallization of contraction, when products crystallinity big products shrinkage increases, in the process of forming lower mold temperature increasing injection pressure to lower temperature will reduce shrinkage, but the internal stress of products is more easy to deformation. For example of glass fiber reinforced PA6 and PA66 shrinkage rate at 1.5 to 2%, after joining the glass fiber can make the shrinkage rate reduced to 0.3% ~ 0.8%.

2.What is the temperature of the cylinder when nylon is injected?

Because nylon is a crystalline polymer, so the melting point is obvious, nylon resin in the injection molding of the selection of the barrel temperature with the resin itself performance, equipment, product shape factors.Too high material temperature is easy to make the rubber parts appear color change, brittle and silver wire, and too low material temperature makes the material very hard may damage the mold and screw.Generally, the melt temperature of nylon 6 is as low as 220oC, while that of nylon 66 is 260oC.Due to the poor thermal stability of nylon, so should not be high temperature for a long time to stay in the cylinder, so as to avoid causing the material discoloration and yellow, at the same time because of the fluidity of nylon is good, the temperature exceeds its melting point will flow quickly.
