Engineering Guidance for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Tooling

1. Fiber Aspect Ratio Maintenance: Unlike short glass fiber pellets where fibers are fragmented during compounding, LFT-G® PA66 LGF20 pellets contain continuous 10-12 mm fibers. Molders should utilize low back-pressure (0.3 to 0.5 MPa), low screw RPM, and free-flow check rings to prevent excessive shear-induced fiber attrition in the injection barrel.

2. Isotropic Shrinkage Simulation: When programming mold cavity dimensions, an isotropic shrinkage range of 0.10% to 0.30% should be utilized. Gate locations should be engineered to allow the continuous fiber network to expand evenly throughout precision threaded sections.

3. Critical Moisture Limit: Polyamide 66 undergoes rapid hydrolytic degradation if injected with moisture exceeding 0.02%. Always employ a desiccant dryer with a dew point below -40°C.
